Simple Goulash With Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fat
  • 1 lb lean pork shoulder, cut in 1 inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (28 1/2 ounce) jar sauerkraut
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions

  • 1 Cook onions in fat until slightly brown.
  • 2 Add meat, paprika and water.
  • 3 Simmer until almost tender.
  • 4 Rinse kraut in water and squeeze out water lightly; add to meat.
  • 5 Cook 30 minutes or until meat is done.
  • 6 Add sour cream and heat, but do not boil.
