Batter for Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

  • 1 Combine dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and egg. Beat till smooth. Dip thin sliced veggies into batter then deep fry. Drain on paper towel if desired.
