Dutch Funnel Cake

Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • powdered sugar
  • oil (for frying)

Directions

  • 1 Beat eggs, add milk and beat again.
  • 2 Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl.
  • 3 add egg mixture and beat until smooth.
  • 4 Heat oil to 400 degrees.
  • 5 Pour 1/2 cup of batter into a funnel.
  • 6 let batter drizzle into hot oil starting at the center and expanding in a circular motion, criss-crossing with the last bit of batter.
  • 7 brown on both sides.
  • 8 drain on paper towels.
  • 9 sprinkle with powdered sugar.
