Caramel Ice Cream Sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/3 cup half-and-half cream
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- 1 Combine brown sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan, stir in the cream, water and cornsyrup until smooth.
- 2 Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened; remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla until butter is melted.
- 3 Serve hot or cold over ice cream; refrigerate leftovers.
